Michael E Boucher, CPA

Co-owner and founder of Boucher and Smart CPAs LLC.

Mike has enjoyed a long career in public accounting helping businesses and individuals achieve their financial goals. Graduating from Dublin Independent School District and attending Tarleton State University, he majored in Mathematics and received a Bachelor Degree in Science. He received his Certified Public Accounting license in 1983. Mike’s many years of experience in a multitude of client businesses give him a great perspective on how companies function. He enjoys sharing those experiences with the firm’s clientele.

Mike married Gayla Green in 1982 and has two children and seven grandchildren. Mike believes using the talents God has given each of us is one of the true blessings of life. Mike and Gayla attend Valley Grove Baptist Church where he currently serves as Church Treasurer and teaches a Bible Study class. Gayla has a scripture ministry reaching many individuals in all parts of the world.

With his forty plus years in accounting, Mike believes Boucher and Smart CPAs offers a great opportunity for business and individuals to benefit from this knowledge.

Mary Smart, CPA

Co-owner and founder of Boucher and Smart CPAs LLC.

Mary graduated from Tarleton State University with a bachelor in Business Administration in December 2004. She received her Certified Public Account license in October 2007. Mary has worked in accounting since 1996 starting with data entry, working up to assistant controller with a lumber company. When she graduated from Tarleton, she gained experience working with Individual, Partnership, Corporate, and Non-Profit tax returns with a CPA firm.

Mary is a small town, Comanche native, and takes pride in helping local businesses comply with their tax requirements. With today’s technology, she is also able to work with clients from afar as well. When she is not in the office, she enjoys time with her husband, Chad Smart, their two children and 5 grandchildren. Sometimes she lets her son-in-law talk her into running Spartan and Tough Mudder races. She also enjoys relaxing on camping trips and cruises.

Mike Jurney

Mike is a graduate of Dublin High School and Tarleton State University, with a BA in Accounting, and has been working in professional accounting since 1997. He enjoys working with and assisting business owners to prepare and maintain their accounting records. Mike prepares both personal and business tax returns.

Away from the office, he enjoys farming and raising registered Brangus cattle. Mike is married to Celinda Jurney and they spend as much time as possible with their children and grandchildren.

Abruelia Rangel

Abruelia is one of our tax preparer at Boucher and Smart CPAs LLC. She works with the preparation of federal tax returns, payroll, accounting services, and helps with our bilingual services.

Graduated from Dublin High School in 2001 and went on to receive a degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from Tarleton State University. Has worked in public accounting for seventeen years since graduating in 2006.

Abruelia is a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. She is married to Luciano, and have three boys and one daughter. Enjoys spending time with family and watching their kids play sports.

Colton Price, CPA

Colton is an Erath County local with deep roots in agriculture and comes from a long legacy of dairy farmers. In the Fall of 2022, he graduated from Tarleton State University with his undergraduate degree in Ag Business with a double minor in Accounting and Finance. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Colton joined the Boucher and Smart CPAs LLC family. In 2024 he graduated from Tarleton State University with his master’s in accounting and received his Certified Public Accountant license in January of 2026.

Colton is an active member of Selden Baptist Church and is very community oriented. Colton serves his clientele to the best of his ability and provides insight with his diversified background.

Mariela Cervantes

Mariela earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Tarleton State University in December 2025 and is currently working toward her Master of Accounting degree at the same institution. With hands-on experience in federal tax preparation and a wide range of accounting services, she is also dedicated to supporting our Spanish-speaking clients through her bilingual skills. Mariela combines her practical experience with a strong academic foundation and plans to sit for the CPA examination once she fulfills the Texas State Board requirements.

A lifelong resident of Dublin, TX, Mariela enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her family, capturing precious moments through photography, and creating vlogs.

Jill Ricks

Jill has worked in the accounting field for 30 years. She is a valuable asset to the team with her experience in preparing payroll, quarterly and annual payroll reports, and monthly data accumulation within multiple accounting softwares.

Jill is on several non-profit boards and enjoys giving back to the Dublin community through her participation in those organizations. Jill is known around the office for being the best bargain hunter and always being prepared. She is very fond of all her critters, often taking in cats and dogs that need loving homes. Her outside interests also include gardening and traveling.

Kathy Cox

Kathy is the receptionist for Boucher and Smart CPAs. She assists with the daily administrative duties. She joined the team in 2015. Prior to this, she worked in different fields which helped her gain experience for this position.

Kathy has lived in Dublin most of her life. She is a member of the First Baptist Church-Dublin. She is married to John and they have one son, David. Outside of work, Kathy enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Carol Barrett

Carol Barrett has recently returned to the work force following her retirement from Tarleton State University. She spent 30+ years in Human Resources handling retirement, insurance, and employment issues. Carol is service oriented and enjoys helping clients with their bookkeeping, payroll, and filing of tax returns.

Carol and her husband, Ronnie, live in Comanche County where they raise Bar-Mac Show Goats. They attend Proctor Baptist Church and are members of the Energy Volunteer Fire Department.

Their two children graduated from Stephenville High School so they continue to be Jacket fans. They have three grandchildren; Gracie is in law school at the University of Wyoming, Jett attends and is on the rodeo team at Sul Ross University, and Presley is a Tarleton Texan majoring in Ag Communications and a member of Alpha Gam Sorority. When not spending time with family, Carol enjoys gardening and fishing.

Caleb Smith

Caleb has earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a minor in Finance and his Master of Business Administration from Hardin-Simmons University where he also competed as a collegiate baseball player. His experience as a student-athlete helped develop the discipline, work ethic, and attention to detail that he brings to his professional career. Caleb is also an Eagle Scout, an achievement that reflects his commitment to leadership, service, and personal integrity.

In his role, Caleb assists clients with tax return preparation, bookkeeping, and financial statement review, helping ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and reporting requirements. He is committed to providing dependable, detail-oriented service and helping clients better understand their financial position.

Caleb is currently pursuing CPA licensure and is dedicated to continuing his professional development within the accounting profession.

Outside of the office, Caleb enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, and being involved in his local community.

Kassidy Pack

Kassidy is from Stephenville and has received an Associate of Science from Ranger College. She is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

She attends the Church of the Nazarene in Stephenville. Time outside of work is spent with friend and family, taking care of her cats and chickens, knitting, and camping.
